Patient Recruiment

Medical devices

At Nova Language Services, we are extremely proud of our excellent track record in the life science sector. Our superior quality and attention to detail has earned the trust of clients hailing from all industries, and the medical devices industry is no exception.

The medical devices industry is highly regulated at the EU level, and also within individual countries. This means that manufacturers must ensure that all the associated content complies with international and national requirements and is available in the pertinent local languages. With our vast experience in the field, Nova is the ideal partner for all your multilingual needs with medical devices. No matter the current life cycle stage of your medical device, you can rest assured that we have the expertise to help you produce the required documentation, whether it is for pre-market activities, marketing or post-marketing surveillance.

Medical device companies manufacture a host of different products, ranging from conductive gels or surgical instruments to diagnostic equipment or defibrillators, so the documents involved vary widely from one company to another. They may encompass anything from surgical techniques to product monographs for orthopaedic prostheses, to operating instructions for high-tech hospital equipment, to instructions for use for active implantable medical devices or validation reports for in-vitro reagents.

We regularly undertake projects involving all manner of products related to prostheses, implants, heart-lung bypass machines, cardiovascular stents and MRI equipment, to name a few. Given the diversity of the different projects we handle, we have assembled specialist teams for each distinct area, thus guaranteeing excellent and industry-compliant translations in terms of accuracy, terminology and consistency.

All the projects we take on are treated in the strictest confidence and we regularly sign confidentiality agreements with our clients.

Patient recruitment

In addition to our work in the life sciences, Nova Language Services now offers multilingual solutions for patient recruitment. Patient recruitment is a hugely important, but time-consuming, part of clinical trials. Streamlining the process can save companies a lot of time and money. As clinical trials are increasingly conducted in multiple countries or globally, the need for multilingual services in this area has grown.

At Nova we can offer our life science expertise for all your multilingual patient recruitment needs, producing high-quality, culturally appropriate and regulatory-compliant translations that meet international and country-specific requirements. We handle Patient Recruitment Brochures and Patient Retention Programmes for a range of different illnesses and treatments, including the following areas: neurological diseases, like Alzheimer's; psychological disorders, such as those related to self-esteem; and endocrinological illnesses, such as diabetes. Because these texts are specifically aimed at patients, they require a different approach than other life science texts, which are of a more medical-scientific nature. The translations must fit the recruitment programme's overall design and maintain the marketing focus of the source document. We are expanding our range of products in this area to encompass online marketing and localization aspects with a view to offering our clients an even more comprehensive service in the life sciences.
