Packing is easy, moving on is difficult

5 Years ago, I had a crazy idea to start a channel focused Cloud company. An idea, a credit card (with a big budget limit) and some discounted server stock from Tarsus were seen as a signs that the time was right.

I would never have dreamed we would have gone from 4 people at a hot desk to the successful business that is now Tarsus On Demand. I have been privileged to watch the business grow and mature. It still astonishes me that it can achieve double-digit monthly growth at this relatively mature stage. Spinning the Cloud business out from a relatively small reseller and subsequently becoming part of one of the largest distribution businesses in the country, was an experience that I will never forget.

However, the only certainties in life are Taxes, Death and Change. Having achieved what I set out to do, I have decided to get closer to the customer and return into the partner space. I will remain at Tarsus On Demand until the end of June and am available subsequent to that for any assistance that may be required from partners or staff.

The team I have built is second to none and are more than capable of continuing with the business and taking it from strength to strength. Anton Herbst will be filling my role and (as head of group marketing and head of Group strategy) is well positioned to fulfil the leadership role of this strategic Tarsus Technology Group business.

Packing is easy, moving on is difficult, but I look forward to interacting with all of the people I have forged relationships with over the last 4 years, but in a different role over the coming months. I hope we will be able to continue our working relationship for many years to come.
