Amazing how fast the frequency of meetings drops when school vacation starts. Since Germany is on a rolling schedule and some states start vacation first and then others follow, business will be slow for the next 8 weeks, which is not that bad for established companies. But for startups, this is a really long time in which getting a deal done will take forever. It’s easy to say that we all benefit from vacation when a startup founder has to focus on her burnrate and cannot easily afford to take a few weeks off. Nevertheless, make sure to get some sun and some good reading. We will continue our weekly updates even during the summer months, because we get really good feedback that people enjoy reading what we’re up to and that they like our Startup Ecosystem Updates to see what’s going on in the European startup cosmos.
So please take this newsletter with you to the beach and don’t forget the sunscreen, either!

Yes, let’s get the golden 20s going! We can do this, but we need to collaborate better together to achieve this! We have been trying to do a pan-European approach since the beginning of our company and we still believe this is the way to go to build a stronger European tech ecosystem.

Fintech has fallen from grace in the last few quarters and the VC investments slowed down tremendously, but the outlook is a bit better now. We assume that by Q4 Fintech will be once again pulling in strong investments.
