A New Chapter !

Luz and I are excited to announce that we have officially acquired Adam Braun Consulting, Inc. – a fantastic company with great customers, great engineers, and a great history.  We wish to express our thanks to Adam and his wife Ann, who first locked eyes as twenty-somethings in Akron in 1956, never looked back, and have been going strong as a team ever since.  After traveling the world and leading projects for Goodyear for 35 years, they founded AB Consulting in 1991 and spent the next 27 years helping Goodyear to continue building-out its capital infrastructure and production capacity.  Adam and Ann’s energy and dedication are truly inspiring - they are role models for us and we hope to continue their legacy and build upon the strong foundation that they have built.  Luz and I could not have done this without the remarkable support and encouragement of Adam and Ann, our friends, families, and friends at Goodyear.

We especially need to thank Goodyear - the company (and the family) to which we both owe so much.  Both of us started basically as kids, me in 1989 and Luz in 2009.  Our relationship with the company really WAS like a relationship – Goodyear gave us travel and excitement and a reason for living (and eventually, I think, a little bit of sense).  We gave her most of our waking hours, most of our thoughts and energy, and nearly all of our dreams for the future.  It was a long, happy affair - we were consumed in each other, and we were content.  Luz and I were fortunate to meet at Goodyear, and it was only after some time that a small inner voice started talking to us, “what if…”?  When we finally announced our departure it was with butterflies and trepidation - we were nervous, but also thrilled at the prospect of giving something new a try.

We wish to thank the huge number of extremely talented and dedicated people, most smarter than us, who took us under their wings and gave us the confidence and the know-how to contribute and to flourish.  (After all, our REAL education came from Goodyear.)  To all the good people, old friends and new, who took the time and indulged our curiosity, thank you, and thanks also for your patience with us during this transition.  Goodyear’s culture of always doing things the right way, with decency and integrity, is something permanently ingrained that we plan to emulate and carry-forth.  Hopefully our paths will cross again as we continue interacting with, learning from, and contributing to Goodyear in its never-ending drive to remain a responsive and competitive high-quality, low-cost producer.
