NetSuite Resume Tips.

Writing a Resume for a NetSuite position is a bit different than a generalist position. That's why I want to share with you some tips that I articulated recently when helping a job seeker with their resume recently. Here are some things you should include in your NetSuite resume:

- Role and Responsibilities: First, you should be clear about the role and level of responsibilities you are looking for in your next job. Are you a developer, a senior project manager, or an expert functional consultant? What are your strengths? What are your career goals and expectations? Tailor your resume to the specific role and help the employer to understand your fit and suitability for the position. Please don't try and be everything. "Techno-Functional Consultant and Project Manager", likely means that you're not terribly great at any of those things.

- NetSuite Process Areas: This is the core of your resume, as it shows what business processes you have worked on and how well you know them. For example, if you have experience with order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, or record-to-report, make sure to mention them and explain your role and responsibilities. Did you own these process areas during an implementation?

- Industries and Geographies: NetSuite is used by many different industries and geographies, so it's important to highlight the diversity of your clients and projects. This shows that you can adapt to different business needs and environments, and that you have a broad knowledge of NetSuite's capabilities and features.

- Work Type and Impact: Whether you have done support, administration, implementation, or development work, you should be clear about the type of work you have done and the impact you had on the projects. For example, if you have implemented a new module, customized a workflow, or managed a complete digital transformation, describe how that improved the efficiency, or functionality of the system, but more importantly, the impact on the client.

- Certifications and Modules: NetSuite offers certifications and modules that demonstrate your proficiency and expertise in various aspects of the platform. You should list your certifications and the modules you are familiar with, such as ARM, Multibook, Suitebilling, Suiteprojects, NSAW, etc. This shows that you are up to date with the latest technologies and best practices in NetSuite. But, if you don’t have a certification, speak to your ability to address specific modules.

- Partner Products and Integrations: NetSuite is not an isolated system, but rather a part of a larger ecosystem of partner products and integrations. You should mention any partner products that you have used or integrated with NetSuite, such as Celigo, Boomi, Avalara, Salesforce, etc. This shows that you have a holistic view of the system and can leverage its full potential. If you can operate in these other tools, be clear as to your level of ability.

I hope these tips help you to create a resume that stands out from the crowd and showcases your NetSuite skills and experience. If you need any help or feedback on your resume, feel free to reach out to me. I'm always happy to help fellow NetSuite professionals.

So true, especially the process areas part. If someone can clearly explain their role in order-to-cash or procure-to-pay, it instantly builds more confidence than generic experience lines. Regards SuiteWorks Tech https://suiteworkstech.com/netsuite-ocr-business-card-capture-solution/
