My Third Cloud Certification Journey

I was looking for something to make myself busy during this COVID time and finally decided to continue my third cloud journey. I started preparing for Google Cloud Certified -Associate Cloud Engineer (ACE) certification exam on November 20, 2020 and took the exam last week on April 02, 2021. 

After passing Amazon AWS certified Solution Architect Associate exam in May 2019, I thought that AWS exam was the toughest exam I ever tried, but I could complete all 50 AWS exam questions in 45 minutes. And it took just 40 minutes to complete 50 questions in Microsoft Azure certification exam. 

My Google ACE exam was much tougher than my AWS exam and it took me 110 minutes (of allotted 120 minutes) to complete all 50 questions. Also I had to review my answers for the second time and had to change a few. I had a lot of tough questions from area like Networking, where I don't have experience and also I am not comfortable with.  

After clicking the "Submit Exam" button, it was a wonderful feeling to see "Pass" result on the screen (actually, it took a few minutes to even believe that). I would like to thank ACloudGuru Mattias Anderson and Nigel Poulton, Dan Sullivan, Jack Hyma, Dhanajay Singh, Ready 2 Pass and Whizlabs teams for their excellent training resources, which helped me to make this happen. 

I started my cloud certification journey just for fun. (Thanks to my friend Oliver Mueller for motivating me through his LinkedIn posting). I am glad to get my third major cloud certification (that too passed all three exams in my first attempts). 

I have a recent Google Certified Professional Cloud Architect in my team now. We hope to get some opportunities to work on Google cloud projects in 2021.
