Miguel Garcia — The Guardian of TechFrame's Systems and Databases

Miguel Garcia — The Guardian of TechFrame's Systems and Databases

If TechFrame were a complex IT system, Miguel Garcia would be the architect of its servers, the protector of its databases, and the programmer of its invisible gears. Having been part of the team for almost two decades, Miguel is much more than a Systems and Database Administrator — he is a technical pillar, an encyclopaedia of programming languages, and, without a doubt, a key reference for all of us.

The Beginning of the Journey: From Lines of Code to Command Lines

Miguel's passion for Information Technology was born in an era when the internet was still a distant promise. His career began in 1986 as a Programmer Analyst, developing applications for customs management using Informix ESQL/C — a language many today would consider “vintage,” but for Miguel, it was the solid foundation upon which he built his extensive technical knowledge.

He worked in various companies, taking on complex projects ranging from developing applications for UNIX and AS400 systems integration to administering Windows and Unix servers. Programming in C, developing interfaces, managing databases — for Miguel, every technical challenge was (and still is) an opportunity to innovate.

The TechFrame Adventure: Growing with Technology

In 2008, Miguel joined TechFrame, quickly becoming a cornerstone of our team. As a Systems and Database Administrator, he led the implementation of advanced solutions, from server virtualization with Hyper-V and VMware ESX to developing web applications for Industrial Property management.

One of his major contributions was the development of the Patent and Trademark Information Repository, a project that demanded precision, security, and deep expertise in SQL Server, C#, and ASPX. He also created custom SQLCLR libraries, helping to optimize internal processes and ensuring that TechFrame's databases run like Swiss clocks — efficient, fast, and reliable.

But Miguel is not just a programming master. His expertise spans Windows systems administration, implementing firewalls like ForeFront TMG, managing database replicas, and consulting on system tuning. Whenever there's a complex technical issue, we know Miguel will find a solution — often before we even reach for an aspirin.

Between Servers and Flavors: Miguel’s Other Side

Yet, Miguel is more than just a man of code and servers. Outside the tech world, there is a passion that burns just as brightly: gastronomy.

Miguel is a true food enthusiast and loves sharing this passion with his family. Together, they explore flavors, experiment with recipes, and celebrate moments around the table — because, just like programming, a great meal requires precision, creativity, and a pinch of boldness.

His personality blends sharp intelligence with unwavering resilience — qualities that make him not only a technical expert but also an inspiring and reliable colleague. His motto? "When I think I'm getting a headache, I take an aspirin." A philosophy that reflects his practical mindset and his ability to stay calm, even when facing the most stubborn bugs.

Our Specialist Who Keeps TechFrame Running

For all of us at TechFrame, Miguel Garcia is more than the administrator of our systems — he’s the person who ensures everything keeps running smoothly, from databases to virtual servers. With a career spanning decade of technological evolution, he is living proof that with knowledge, dedication, and a touch of humour, it’s possible to build both a solid system and a resilient career.
