Call for Papers, A&I Summit

Make a Difference! Be on the Program!

The 2024 Analytics & Insights Summit will be held May 1-3, 2024 in San Antonio, TX, USA. We invite you to submit a proposal (by September 16) for a roughly 30-minute presentation!

We will have both a methodological track as well as a corporate researchers track. For corporate researcher track proposals, the lead author must be the corporate researcher. Presentations must be delivered in person.

This is a practitioner-aimed quant conference and we’re looking for practical, results-based research that we can take back to the office and use. Academics are also invited to submit proposals, so long as they fit with the aims of the conference. We encourage less technical, yet robust, papers that appeal to both the least sophisticated and most sophisticated members of the audience.

We're looking to increase diversity in the program in terms of demographics, industries, and new perspectives. Even if you’ve never presented at a conference before, we welcome your proposal! If you know of great speakers in underrepresented groups, please let us know and we'll reach out to invite them to submit.

Deliverables: presenters are required to 1) pre-record their presentation on video and deliver it to the committee prior to the conference for later distribution to attendees; 2) Your PowerPoint (or PDF) slides are also due prior to the conference; 3) Written papers for the Proceedings are required a couple months after the conference is held. You agree to grant Sawtooth Software rights to your video, slide deck, and written paper for subsequent distribution.

Presenters receive a complimentary conference registration (one per presentation).

If you'd like to be on the program:

  • Please respond promptly (by September 16, email: bryan@sawtoothsoftware.com) with a one or two-page abstract describing your proposed presentation/paper, with special attention to the findings and what the audience will "take away" from the presentation.
  • Indicate whether your proposal is for the methodological track or the corporate researchers track.
  • Include a 75-word description of your presentation for the conference brochure, plus a headshot for you and any co-authors.

We are interested in papers on a variety of subjects, including general web/mobile interviewing issues, AI in marketing research, data quality, market segmentation, scale development, customer satisfaction modeling, conjoint/menu/choice analysis, MaxDiff (best-worst scaling), perceptual mapping, hierarchical Bayes methods, forecasting, pricing research, market simulations, text analytics, social media analytics, and case studies. These papers need not involve Sawtooth Software's programs or approach. No proprietary or patented methods are permitted.

We are trying to diversify the program so that it is not so focused on conjoint analysis and MaxDiff. We of course welcome proposals involving conjoint analysis and MaxDiff, but we will give slight preference to proposals that involve other topics. Non-conjoint analysis topics won the audience’s “best presentation” award our last two conferences.

If your abstract is accepted, a member of the steering committee will review early drafts of your presentation and offer suggestions. Authors are expected to consider these suggestions conscientiously and rework their presentations as needed. Sawtooth Software reserves the right to remove any author from the program or proceedings that fails to meet deadlines or produce high quality work.
