Learning Spotlight

Learning Spotlight

When I work with clients, I approach each project as a collaborative effort and partnership. For me, creating learning solutions is all about connecting with the learner. The same holds true with clients; therefore, when a client, in return, embraces me as part of their team, it really fuels the fire and passion within me. Some clients present me with cards signed by the whole team, others write recommendations, and some simply share a heartfelt, sincere “thank you.” Recently, I was honored to learn one of my clients, NetSpeed Learning Solutions, wanted to spotlight me in their February newsletter. Their interview questions were quite fun, and their write-up demonstrated they have embraced me as part of their team, which means a lot to me. Much thanks and appreciation to Cynthia Clay and her very talented team for the continued collaborative relationship.

Staff Spotlight: Steven Williams, Presenter/Instructional Designer

Steven wears several hats here at NetSpeed Learning Solutions. He facilitates and hosts webinars, serves as master trainer for the VFTC, and works as an instructional designer. We interviewed Steven to find out more about him when he's not multitasking, and here's what we found out:

What is your dream vacation? Unplugged on the beaches of Hawaii. I'd like to snorkel, swim, paddle, body surf, and walk the shoreline most of the day, then kick back to read a book under a canopy, talk with my wife about our future, and enjoy a trip down memory lane. Breakfasts on the beach and evenings in small local restaurants add the finishing touch.

What is your favorite food? I am a steak, potatoes, and vanilla ice cream kind of guy. Add some A1 on that steak and fresh raspberries on that vanilla ice cream, and it does not get much better than that!

One movie you'll always remember? My wife recently treated me to a surprise date night and tricked me into seeing The Song. I ended up enjoying it as much as she did. It showed how easily we can take one another for granted, and it reminded me that love requires continual nurturing, growth, and commitment. It reminded me how incredibly blessed I am to have the relationship I have.

If you ruled the world... Weddings and birthday parties would never be allowed to occur on USC Trojan game days; and my thick, cozy USC Alumni sweatshirts would henceforth be classified as formal attire. Fight on, Trojans!
