Learning Additional Language : HINDI

Learning Hindi can be a rewarding and enriching experience, opening doors to new cultures, career opportunities, and personal connections.

Here is the learning plan that I went through:

Week 1-2: Focus on learning the Hindi alphabet and basic pronunciation rules.

अ, आ, इ, ई, उ, ऊ, ए, ऐ, ओ, औ, ऋ, अं, अ:

Week 3-4: Start building my vocabulary with common Hindi words and phrases.

Hello: नमस्ते (namaste)

See you later: अलविदा।( phir milenge)

Good morning: शुभ प्रभात (shub prabhat)

Good afternoon: नमस्ते (namaste)

Good evening: नमस्ते (namaste)

Good night: शुभ रात्रि (shubh ratri)

Yes: हाँ (haan)

Week 5-6: Learn simple Hindi grammar rules, such as verb conjugation and sentence structure.

First of all, grammar in Hindi follows the SOV (Subject – Object – Verb) word order, as opposed to the SVO order English uses. The second rule you need to remember is that everything has a gender in Hindi grammar. There are two grammatical genders in the Hindi language: feminine and masculine.

Week 7-8: Practice basic conversations in Hindi, focusing on greetings, introductions, and everyday topics.

So Hindi opens doors to understanding North India's diverse, culture, history,  and  traditions. Hindi proficiency is a valuable asset in various fields, including tourism, education, business, and international relations.
