Internship Experience at Code Alpha

Internship Experience at Code Alpha

Hello everyone,

This blog is regarding my experience as an intern at Code Alpha. I recently got an opportunity to work as a Web Development and Design Intern at CodeAlpha . This was a wonderful opportunity which helped me boost my skills and confidence. Throughout the phase of internship I got to learn many new skills and tools. I got stuck at times but constant efforts helped me to overcome it.

I would like to take this opportunity to thanks mentors at CodeAlpha who were available for guidance whenever required. It was easy to contact with them in case of any query and it was under their guidance that I was encouraged to explore more in the field of Web Development and have a practical experience. I had before learned various concepts and topics on Web Development but this internship helped me to bridge the gaps between my understanding of various topics.

The internship included three tasks which are as follows:

Task 1: Temperature Converter Website

Github: https://lnkd.in/df4iMEgm

This website was to be designed such that entering the temperature in one unit allows you to get the output in other units. For example- Entering the temperature value in Celsius, you get the temperature value in Fahrenheit, kelvin etc.

Task 2: Link Shortener Website

Github: https://lnkd.in/dHYSctbG

This website was meant to be design as such that it converts long urls into short urls.

Task 3: Online Code Editor

Github: https://lnkd.in/dq5Sqkg9

This was the last and the most interesting task where the requirement was to design an online code editor where you can actually run code. It also became more interesting when after designing this code editor, I could actually run the code used in Task 1(Temperature Converter Website) on this code editor.

Tools Used: VS code

Language used: HTML, CSS, Javascript

Overall, this was a wonderful learning experience. It improved my problem solving and logical skills and taught me important life skills like discipline, perseverance, consistency, critical thinking etc. It helped me grow both technically as well as personally.

At last, I would again like to thank CodeAlpha for this opportunity and would also recommend this to my friends who are looking for an internship.
