🐾 Revolutionizing Pet Care: Our Journey at the Intern2Innovate Hackathon!

The energy at the DT Play House today was incredible, and it provided the perfect stage to tackle a real-world problem that millions of pet owners face: the fragmented nature of pet healthcare.

I am excited to share that my team GokulNath.N SNSCE MONESH R Dharanirhosan J K and I recently participated in "Intern2Innovate," an internal hackathon series organized by the III Computer Science Streams at SNS College of Technology.

🚩 The Problem: A Fragmented Experience

Being a pet parent should be about joy, not stress. However, we identified a significant gap in the market. When a pet needs urgent care, owners often struggle with:

• Scattered information and difficulty finding vetted local veterinarians quickly.
• The high-stress scramble for emergency contacts during critical moments.
• Disorganized health records and missed vaccination or care reminders.

💡 Our Solution: A Smart Hub for Pet Wellness

We developed a centralized, intuitive pet care application designed to act as a Smart Hub for every pet need. Our goal was to reduce cognitive load and ensure that life-saving information is never more than a tap away.

Key Features of the Prototype:

• One-Tap Emergency Support: Immediate access to urgent veterinary assistance.
• Smart Proximity Search: A streamlined interface to find and book nearby clinics.
• Digital Health Vault: A secure place to manage health records and history.
• Intelligent Reminders: Automated notifications for routine care and medications.

🚀 Key Takeaways

This hackathon was more than just a coding or design exercise; it was an opportunity to apply Design Thinking principles to improve the lives of both pets and their owners. From establishing a clear visual hierarchy to optimizing user flow for high-stress situations, the experience was invaluable.
