Industry Internship Program at ORACLE

In contrast to the typical summer internship practised by other B-Schools, Jagsom's Industry Internship Program (IIP) is a one-of-a-kind concept in which students complete their internship in their final term to boost real-world learning and industry preparation. It has shown to be a successful method for curriculum creation and engagement with industry. I had the opportunity to intern with Oracle Corporation as a Jagdish Sheth School of Management student.

Oracle Corporation is a multinational corporation headquartered in Austin, Texas. The Organization's base camp was previously located in Redwood Shores, California, until December 2020, when it relocated to Texas. It sells database software and other sorts of technology, as well as cloud-based frameworks and enterprise software, particularly its data set administration frameworks. Oracle was the second-largest software firm in terms of revenue and market capitalization in 2020. The company also develops and builds systems for data-driven events and frameworks for center-level programming, ERP solutions, Human Capital Management (HCM) programming, CRM products, and supply chain management software.

Oracle Corporation enhanced my technical abilities and equipped me to perform the upcoming assignments correctly. I was treated equally in my engagement team. It made me feel like I was a part of something.

My time at the company has been genuinely incredible, and what has piqued my interest the most is the organization's culture and Core Values. Several engagements were allocated to me throughout my internship, and I was given the opportunity to put my theoretical knowledge into practise while completing the duties.

My learnings

1.     I got to know about the hardware line of business of oracle

2.     Oracle Exadata cloud service allows customers to easily move enterprise applications to the cloud with high performance, scale and availability of oracle Exadata and simplicity of oracle cloud infrastructure.

3.     I also got to know about various products offering like strategic and classic products offered by oracle in hardware line of business

4.     EXADATA machine, Exadata cloud at customer and public cloud help oracle customer to expand their database capabilities and help them lower their infrastructure and management cost.

I'm grateful to have had helpful and pleasant mentors on my team who were always willing to invest time and effort guiding me during my time there. They gave me immediate feedback, which motivated me to do my work on schedule and to a high standard. It was also crucial in my development as a corporate employee.

My knowledge has grown tremendously as a result of this experience. This project has aided in the development of my analytical thinking and communication abilities. It is critical to be able to ask for help and receive criticism in order to produce high-quality work and learn more.
