In a collaborative research project with Sheffield Hallam University they are looking to enhance their services through improved scheduling. This will involve harnessing the power of Intelligent Systems. One aspect of this will be to ensure that appointments across the UK are managed efficiently. Although scheduling is an established problem, this project is of particular interest since appointments can vary considerably in character depending upon a particular cases and forensic details. The collaboration is based upon the Knowledge Transfer Partnership scheme which supports a wide varied of collaborative projects with aim of business improvement. The schemes support project specific job role within the company partner with close expert support from the academic partners.
