"Impatience" is getting a second name "Instant"...

What we always heard was that patience is the key; give it a time, wait for it, don't rush into things, they come at their own pace............

Looks like meanings or ways are changing. Few examples:

· Instant noodles, someone realised it decades ago (Maggi) and grabbed the opportunity; rest all simply followed it

· Instant pay hikes & so the job changes; more is less nowadays and that too is needed sooner

· Quick queries/ answers have made Encyclopedias obsolete and Wikipedia famous; and now, that too seems to be going out of favour for short & instant answers. No one is interested in "Details" any more. Keep the flab for later

· Instant cabs (Uber/...) ... no wait time... who has the time

· Instant chats and Video calls... if distances can't be shorter, bring them together digitally

· "Reckless driving" on roads; silly, everyone is rushing, getting late and so driving madly. Sometimes I think, where are they all rushing and what for

· Running (health) is becoming a raze, who has the time to simply do brisk walk; rather do it faster

· Instant food delivery through Apps; who will go to restaurants, to go through pains of traffic, wait-queues and expensive bills

· Speed dates or blind dates; meaning or ways of relationships are changing for ever

· Instant food (junk food, not sure is it right to call it that way) is replacing the proper food

· Fast vanishing word from people Resumes, "Reading Books" under hobbies/ interests section; since everyone is into watching series/ movies

· Individual shopping stores displaced by shopping malls, having plethora of stuff on food, shopping, entertainment, all under same roof

· Physical networking for personal/ professional connections is being replaced by Facebook/ Linkedin and many more

· Physical letters replaced by emails....not sure that when was the last I saw a hand-written letter

· Google Maps is a new name for adventure trips; sooner realising that necessity becomes some kind of evil, given, making us so dependent on technology

· Banks/ payments have a second name Paypal/ Paytm....long list actually

· Even Nature is getting Instant... times of long seasons of winters/ summers/ rains are long gone. Now, it's all few days/ weeks of spurts of coldest/ hottest/ wettest times, breaking records every year of "last x number of decades". And, of course blame it all on Global Warming :) Though, not sure who is following who: Humans or Nature

While writing above points, I realised that most of them are related to some or the other app on my mobile, and there are hundreds of apps/ examples which are still left to be mentioned.

These are so varied examples of living life and still such an interesting and uncanny resemblance; everything revolving around better convenience, faster deliveries, shorter time to be spent, economies and all-on-phone stuff.

I am often amazed to live in these times, wherein so much so has transformed completely in a very short span; as if, living multi generations in a single life. Blessed, I am.. and so are most in current times....
