Ignorance is a Bliss
Do you find yourself stuck in an emotion of grief or suffering some times? I fell at a moment a lot of us do. We tend to think about situations pretty much more than required.
At times I find myself questioning is Ignorance bliss or just an escape? There are a lot of reasons why one feels it either way.
You know how there are situations when you feel trapped in a loop of grief and disappointments, where all you could feel is suffocated. You hope for a momentary break to just get through it, to just not feel at all. We all go through a phase in our lives where we are overwhelmed. Sometimes we know so much about things to just let it go. It gets difficult.
All of us like to be aware of situations, have knowledge about things. Remember the difference between us as a child and now as a grown-up is that we know things. At times being mature feels burden. All we wish at that time is to have the power of ignoring things for a while.
We often find ourselves reminiscing of our childhood days. Where all we had to do was to not worry. We laughed our hearts out; we played from dusk till dawn. As if the whole life was full of surprises. We had a sense of innocence. Above all, we were all genuinely happy.
There are a lot of things you can always learn from the child inside you and one of them is ignoring some things. You need to learn how to live your life to its fullest. Being a child is always easy; at least this is what we thought. But maybe being an adult is not that difficult after all.
We like to be in control of things happening to us. We like to be responsible. But sometimes all you need is just the opposite of it.
Ignoring and letting it go. We worry so much about the things we know will give us suffering, so we go through them twice. A lot of times the worry of going through it makes us suffer more than the actual thing does.
Do you wish to be in control of your life all the time? Do you think it helps you with the misery? Sometimes all you need is a pinch of ignorance; ignorance of the worry that occupies your head, the question of what would happen, the knowledge of the outcomes.
Growing up is realizing that life is a balance between sorrow and happiness. Sorrow teaches you to have hope and happiness makes you learn gratitude. You can never skip either. Under the layers of misery come joy, laughs, and fun.
All you need to live through the misery is to not always be aware of it. Embrace what life teaches you. Life is beautiful, one must be unwise to see it otherwise.
