I earned a Badge and created a JavaScript button...
Learning is best when it's fun and serves a purpose. Today was that day. Over the years, I have produced several websites, first in HTML, then with CSS however, JavaScript was a block, I didn't have the time to invest and didn't see the need and with WordPress, I didn't have the need...
Today was different, a gloriously free day, and I chose to try to build a button to play a random selection of MP3 files. I did get some help; ChatGPT gave me some pointers. The button had to be placed on a Google site, which introduced me to Google App Script and Google Cloud Storage buckets. The result, I was able to create a button and very pleased I am!
So what have I achieved?
1) A badge from Google for JavaScript - I'm not an expert, however, I can now understand the purpose and I'm well on the journey to JavaScript mastery
2) A button - give it a try from the URL below, it's nerdy but does what I need it to do, it might make you smile :-)
3) Finished off a Google site to assist with an old school scenario from Classic Traveller RPG that I'll be using as an introduction.
