If I could change one thing….
…I would enable business to have the courage and aspiration to adopt Artificial Intelligence (AI). While people perceive artificial intelligence to be the technology of the future, it’s in fact already here. Companies across a wide range of sectors have increasingly been applying AI to improve their businesses for some time. AI notaries include Facebook using machine learning to automatically reflect faces and suggests friends and smart home devices like Amazon Alexa. At Intuety we’re using AI to reimagine the risk management process and find a different way of doing things.
That said, there have also been some early failures. Microsoft’s social learning chatbot turned anti-social after interacting with hostile Twitter followers, whilst IBM Watson was unable to deliver predicted cancer diagnosis.
What often separates successful AI projects from the ones that aren’t, has to do with the business strategies that organisations follow when applying AI. The following strategies can not only help business effectively integrate AI in their organisations, but also succeed in adapting it to innovate, compete and excel: -
· AI needs to be a collective approach not just for bespoke projects.
· People make the difference and require equal investment and training.
· It’s a long-term evolution that needs to be matured.
