HER CODE - tech solution for the good
Aden, Yemen - Massaha Initiative, in partnership with the Medalah Foundation, recently hosted a grand ceremony and exhibition to showcase the innovative projects developed as part of the Her Code program. The event, held at the Medalah Foundation in Aden, celebrated the achievements of female innovators and highlighted their efforts in leveraging technology to improve the lives of individuals with special needs.
The culmination event featured presentations by the project leads who provided an overview of Her Code's objectives,phases, and the number of participants. Ten innovative technological solutions were presented, each designed to address specific challenges faced by individuals with disabilities. These projects, developed over five months, utilized robotics and Arduino technology.
The showcased innovations included a smart electric wheelchair controlled by a headgear, a smart medicine box, a glove that translates sign language into words, an educational robot for children with speech difficulties or autism, a home control system, a smart cane for the visually impaired, a computer mouse attached to a headgear, a robotic arm for wheelchair users, a prosthetic arm with AI capabilities, and sensors to assist individuals with hearing impairments.
