A Great Interview Experience

I don't post much here on LinkedIn, but yesterday I had an experience that I just have to share.

I was scheduled for an in-person interview at Fiserv. I knew the information from their website regarding their business, and I have some friends who work there, but nothing compares to actually being there and seeing how they treat their prospective employees! After checking in at the security desk, I was handed a Fiserv-branded bag (bright orange!) that contained:

• A notepad
• A pen
• Mints
• A water bottle (much appreciated!)
• A note wishing me luck on my interview

Earlier today I sent a thank you e-mail to the hiring manager stating that I have never had a similar experience at any other company I had interviewed with, and that this was a company and culture that I would be proud to work for!

Seriously, if this is how they treat prospective employees, then I can only imagine how I would be treated if I were "one of the family".

So if you work at Fiserv, especially if you had something to do with putting this "Interviewee Welcome Kit" together, I want to thank you! That was a very nice touch yesterday.

UPDATE: Sadly I did not get the job, but I will definitely remember the welcome I received before I ever met with an interviewer!
