Get to where the magic happens

Here is the thing.............the only thing any of us are entitled to are the things we go out and get.........................
There are 15 Million Millionaires in the world................90% of those are first generation Millionaires, i.e. they made the money themselves.
If other people have done it then it is possible...............why not me and you??!!!
My story is quite an interesting one although I’m certain there are many people out there with similar sorties to tell.
I always seemed to struggle to concentrate in the classroom at school and certainly wasn’t great when sitting exams, something I remind my daughter of as I believe she has inherited this mindset around exams from me!
I used to feel ‘exam pressure’ where regardless of how I had worked through the year, the whole year was measured on this one sitting. I don’t get it and still don’t. I was desperate to make my parents proud although I was too desperate and my mind used to go blank. I couldn’t recall any of the exam preparation that I had done. I was crap at exams!
However, out of the classroom and on the sports grounds I felt free and was able to express my self so much more. This was the place where I could show people what I was capable of doing, to do well for my team as well as contribute myself, to test myself and step outside of my comfort zone, to be competitive and to win.
The motivation to make my parents proud was constantly driving me forwards and this motivation still drives me today.
I now have two wonderful children and like many parents, I am extremely proud of the young adults they have become.
My children and my close family are my ‘WHY’
Have you worked out you WHY yet? Is you WHY at the core of everything you do? Have you set your dreams high enough that your dreams scare you? Are you surrounding yourself with people that give you energy, that keep you motivated and on track with your own journey and not theirs?
Write down your ‘WHY’ and look at it every day. Stay FOCUSSED.
