Get started with informal learning

Get started with informal learning

What is it?

A way of supporting learners by giving them:

  • Resources when and where they want them,
  • Opportunities to share and teach when they feel like it,
  • Tools to learn from their ‘ah ha’ moments, and
  • Recognition for all of the above.

Is anyone doing it?

It's hugely popular, used by companies like Adidas (video), British Telecom (video) and learning leaders like Jay Cross (pdf) and Josh Bersin (blog post).

Is there an easy, low cost way to do it?

Yes. ExperienceUP has iOS and Android apps that let you:

  • Upload images, audio and video
  • Search and view resources
  • Create reflective learning posts
  • Tag and share with communities, groups or individuals
  • Add approval, coaching and supervision workflows
  • Go live in under a week
  • Plan with rollout workshops
  • Get simple reports

Can I try ExperienceUP?

Sure. Reach out to me on here or email kym@obviouschoice.com.au
