The FUTURE of WATER is HERE!!

Water, Water, Everywhere.. But Not A Drop To Drink!!

Food For Thought: 68% of Earth is water which of course, are the water bodies which are mostly saline. 1-2% of this comes back to us (read “living beings on earth”) as rain through the evaporation cycle. 3-4% of this is unutilized ground water which is about 1600-2000 ft. deep into the earth which requires heavy investment like in oil rigs to pull the water out (The Gulf countries are already doing this). Remaining water content, if to be utilized, will need heavy desalination plants but that has already started affecting the deep waters because of increased saline content (remains from treated seawater). Now, how, where and what do we do to find good water?

Answer is simple - Conserve what we have. Be Careful. Be Responsible. Be Smart - about how we consume water Today, for Tomorrow’s Survival.

Each Drop Counts!!

How SMART are we, when the world is becoming Digitally Smart?

Switch to becoming Smart – From Smart Farming to Smart Water Controllers to Smart Drip Irrigation Systems to Smart Water Conservation mechanisms to Smart Water Supply for domestic and commercial purposes, organizations like Jain Irrigation (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jain_Irrigation_Systems) are making their presence felt across the globe through initiatives that are making the world more sustainable.

Technology, as everyone knows, is changing the way we live with better communication systems and other widespread infrastructure. We, including me, are omnipresent on Social Media and all such things that matter to us. But as I think deeper, I think we human beings are attracted to and addicted to things that come to us for FREE (yes! that is the word..), be it in money, time, or effort. And if we are to spend money, we do it for our own luxury. Now, when it comes to spending a little money for something that we have already tagged as 'available-for-granted', we often hesitate and tag it as second priority.. Truth is we don't have the time and tide for second priority stuff.

What if we consider this spending as an Investment - An investment we make into the future, for our next generations?

Let us join hands and Make ourselves Smarter by switching to Smart Irrigation systems and be proud to be a Contributor to saving the world!

Every drop really counts in this world of "Zero Water" !!!! Nicely written Vinu... let the ideas flow

Nice one Vinu Peter. Hats-off to the Illustration and really a food for thought. I see this as one of the best use cases which need to be befitted from technology landscape and as a new world technology company, I'm sure our solutions can help a lot in energy & resource conservation and utilization to help the well-being of a society.

Interesting thought points...While once it was called as a renewable or abundant resource, today fresh water seems to be a very rare commodity. When we see the wettest of the lands running into drought while the arid regions manage to survive on the scanty rainfall through out a year, we have reason to believe its not scanty rainfall, but the mis-management where the problem is....

"WELL" written, Water for thought, Vinu. Actually, we took water for granted and hence in this situation. Thankfully it is not too late, and hope technology will intervene and help us to measure, reduce, re-direct and recycle water.
