This is the Future of Data Privacy
Dathena’s approach is a sign of things to come.
According to Gartner’s latest Hype Cycle for Privacy report, big changes are coming to the world of data privacy. “A recent increase in the (financial and reputational) business case for privacy has driven innovative and built-for-purpose solutions,” the report notes. “Security and risk management leaders treating technology, information and resilience risk must place privacy as a top-three priority.”
At Dathena, we firmly agree. Over the next few years, we believe, the demand for bleeding-edge privacy technologies will only increase, transforming all aspects of data security and compliance. Within the next decade, such technologies will go mainstream, making it dramatically easier for companies to assess the risks present in their cloud platforms and databases, and providing enterprises with a glut of important new privacy-management and data-classification capabilities.
The good news is that while it might take time for some of those technologies to be widely embraced, you don’t have to wait years or decades to reap the benefits of data-security innovation. In fact, many of the most important capabilities that security-conscious enterprises need are already available for use via the Dathena Privacy platform.
Many of the most urgently needed data-privacy capabilities focus on auditing and assessing existing capabilities, for instance.
“The type and benefit of technological aid vary widely. Application of technology should follow gap and risk assessments while supporting rather than leading operations”. Gartner
At Dathena, we think that kind of customization should come fitted as standard, so when you work with us we’ll routinely execute a high-level Privacy Maturity Assessment in partnership with PwC, or another third-party consultant of your choice, to figure out exactly where your organization currently stands, and exactly where it needs to get to.
In coming years, organizations will have to get serious about compliance — not just with the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation or the California Consumer Privacy Act, but also with increasingly privacy-conscious jurisdictions such as India and China.
“Although the central government and industry-specific agencies continue working on defining details on privacy requirements, compliance risks and potential penalties for violations are real and can be significant,” Gartner.
Again, Dathena has got you covered: our tools are designed to provide an automatic, up-to-date Record of Processing Activities that can be updated and exported for compliance purposes, and allowing companies to easily respond to Data Subject Requests within statutory time limits.
And that’s just the beginning. At Dathena, we aren’t just ticking boxes when it comes to assessment and compliance — we’re pioneering the use of cutting-edge AI to build scalable solutions to the biggest data-security challenges faced by modern global enterprises.
In fact, our natural language processing and deep-learning tools now outperform humans when it comes to accurately sorting and labeling personal information, while working at up to 1000 times faster than other Open Source and Private AI libraries. That all adds up to a scalable solution that’s radically faster and more accurate than anything else on the market.

And the icing on the cake? We’ve designed all our AI tools to be transparent and easy to understand. You’ll never find a Dathena product that relies on black-box algorithms or spits out answers with no indication of how they were calculated: it’s always possible to look under the hood and figure out how our system is operating.
The bottom line is that when it comes to data privacy and security, you can’t afford to use only the tools that have already become mainstream — because mainstream solutions will always lag behind the challenges that forward-thinking companies face as they embrace cloud operations, big data, and other transformative ways of doing business.
