From Speech Analytics to Voice Forensics

There's been a lot of buzz about Analytics lately in the Business Intelligence domain more so in the subject area of text based analytics. Lately, Speech has been the hot button subject in this emerging subject matter area. If you use Siri, Cortana, YouTube, Skype, or play online video games like XBOX or PS3/4, you are contributing to speech analytics in one  way, shape, or form.

Today, the technology has evolved traditional voice analytics to forensics. We are at a stage now where we can literally study voice, decompose it, and understand it enough to be able to recognize a voice, no matter what language or accent the speaker talks in. We are talking getting pretty close to DNA status with one's voice. The science is telling us that Voice is indeed a unique identifier of a person.

Imagine the endless opportunities that abound given that the millennial generation tends to mostly text and talk on devices.. Life for them is sped up and too fast to stop at Bank Center. Therefore Banks for example, have to reach out to them since they don't plan to stop by a bank location, not even the ATM. As a result, the Banking business has to moving to devices where these kids live. The millennial generation plans to talk devices to conduct Banking business. Nice huh?

As we improve speech and voice forensics in the future, smart devices will be even smarter and more productive. Machine Learning here we come.

Ollie et al, about a year later we see the linear progression this technology continues to make. Look at the plethora of products that have come out mostly with voice command robots that have reached the market place first it was devices like smart phones and TVs. Now we have full blown devices like Alexa from Amazon which was a big hit. Folks its here. Life with robots that understand speech is here.
