Summary Of My Progress Through Week 32
Another week away from physical activities.
My lower back is fine.
However, lower abdominal pain continues to put the brakes on my run days.
The only physical activity I engage in now is long walks and dynamic stretches.
Dynamic stretches help me stay mobile and flexible.
I can not work to straighten my core while suffering from lower abdominal muscle pain.
Without a strong core, my back misses out on a firm support structure and might lead to my lower back pain resurfacing.
I am using my long walks to reflect, find peace from mind and strength to stay positive.

I came across a new term this week, ‘Positive Disintegration’
As per information from Wikipedia, it is a theory of personality development by Kazimierz Dąbrowski.
Biological and social factors shape our identity as we grow and develop.
Over time we move towards self-determined values geared toward the greater good.
The above is the journey of positive disintegration.
When we are born, we do not get the chance to build a ‘true self’.
Biological, social and other factors mould us into a ‘false self’.
To express the ‘true self, we will be selfish, true, daring, rebel, not be caring.
A therapist room comes in handy in such moments.
We mainly play by societal rules so we all get along.
If we do not follow these rules we do not fit in.
However, to find our individual identity we need to dig deep into what makes us unique.
Physical Activity
I have spent this week looking into how to treat lower abdominal pain.
The advice is to use cold or warm therapy.
Another treatment suggestion is to use painkillers, an abdominal binder, rest and exercise once the pain has subsided.
Curl ups and pelvic tilts are two popular exercise therapies.
The outlook on treatment is not good.
Abdominal strains will heal within a few weeks or could be months depending on the level of muscle strain.
I might be out of running action for a long while.
The cause of the pain comes from intense and excessive exercise and maybe poor running technique.
I will start treatment and keep track of the outcome.

Weekly Bible readings;
God’s Perfect Knowledge of Man.
Psalm 139; 1–6.
O Lord, You have searched me and known me.
You know my sitting down and my rising up;
You understand my thought afar off.
You comprehend my path and my lying down,
And are acquainted with all my ways.
For there is not a word on my tongue,
But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether.
You have hedged me behind and before,
And laid Your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
It is high, I cannot attain it.
Financial Fitness
How does society program us to operate?
Work hard, finish school, find a good job, get married and start rewarding yourself with the things you think you deserve for a job well done.
The downside with this model is you end up with mountains of debt — student loans, car loans, credit cards.
I find myself at 49 in a financial disaster zone, a mountain of debt and no savings.
All my income is eaten up with payments to creditors and living expenses, none left to build an investment portfolio.
I am educating myself on how to escape my current nightmare.
However, the difficulty is still there to find a mare penny each month to put towards any investment.
It is going to be a long and hard journey.
I will make that first investment and build on it.
A good start would be getting control of my budgeting.
Conclusion
It seems to be the same old story with my finances.
The struggle is real.
I will not give up.
I need to start with time boxing my goals, particularly when it comes to my finances.
My physical fitness is also another area of concern. However, I am working on it.
I love this concept of organic personal growth.
I am enjoying this journey of growth I am on.
