Even in the clouds - location, location, location!

Even in the clouds - location, location, location!

CloudOps designs, builds and supports public, regional, and private cloud infrastructure solutions around the world, and in doing so we have learned about many requirements that are driving the market to deploy applications and data on regional cloud infrastructure.

CloudOps is based in Canada and built cloud.ca - a regional cloud provider owned and operated by Canadians. cloud.ca provides an excellent example of why regional clouds matter and why customers may need to use a regional cloud instead of a global US based public cloud provider (primarily Amazon's AWS, Microsoft's Azure and Google's GCE). As more workloads migrate to the clouds, we are seeing adoption of both global (i.e. AWS) and regional (i.e.cloud.ca) providers depending on data governance requirements.

For a new white paper on the topic, cloud.ca engaged with a top legal expert in the field of data privacy to answer key questions about the impact of location on data compliance and governance. Learn more about data sovereignty and its implications for regional cloud computing - click here to download the new whitepaper from cloud.ca

Exactly the reason we choose cloud.ca - since region is a must for our clients!
