Easy Website Makeover

Easy Website Makeover

There are many many things I would rather do than update my website: clean the garage, clean the leaves out of the rain gutters, detail my truck...

Yes, keeping our websites up to date is important, but fewer and fewer people are going there. More and more people are going to Facebook or prefer to get their information from Twitter. What makes websites even harder to keep up to date is the fact that those properties are getting squeezed by the popularity of other mediums.

What makes our websites so powerful is the volume information we can share there. We can have many different sections that really dive deep into what we offer. We can support customers before, during and after the sale. We can even put forth our community efforts and things like phone numbers that we may not share elsewhere.

What makes websites powerful is also what makes websites tough to navigate. There is so much information and so many ways to seek that information. Imagine if you are comparing three different products or three different hotels and there is an important feature you wish to know about each: it does not help that three different brands may put the same information in three different places. Each new search is a new adventure in information navigation.

Recently I was talking to a company that told me they wanted to set up Skipstone but wanted to do so AFTER their website was updated. It doesn't matter when they said it would be done- it will actually be done much later (if they are like every other company).

Of course I recommended they work Skipstone into their current website. We can use Skipstone to engage on so many different levels before, during and after the sale. We can deliver information by request: just ask. We can even use Skipstone to show them were the information they are looking for is, even on the old website. These features live with the website by replacing stagnant video with our interactive video content.

Everywhere a company has a stagnant video, they can have a dynamic video. In other words Skipstone never takes away from what you are doing, we always add to what you are doing by allowing the customer to ask a question and get the answer they are looking for.

  • Yes, launch your Skipstone from your Old Website
  • Launch your Skipstone from your New Website
  • Post your Skipstone on Facebook
  • Send your Skipstone via email
  • Tweeting the answer via Skipstone allows everyone to ask other things they want to know, to dig deeper as they wish.

There is no reason to wait so we can make the new thing better. We can make the old thing better too.

The thing to remember about Skipstone is that it makes EVERYTHING better. Skipstone never takes something away, it only adds, as the customer wishes to know more.

Wherever your customer is, LET THEM ASK, LET THEM DIG DEEPER.
