Dynamics 365 quick bites- Dynamics 365 legacy web client, process dialogs, and task flows will no longer be available starting on October 1, 2020

According to Microsoft, 80% of organizations enabling Unified Interface and the legacy web client will be deprecated on October 1, 2020. Along with legacy web app, Process dialogs and Task flows will also be deprecated. Microsoft announcing these changes to give customers early visibility and the opportunity to prepare for this update. why should we move to new UCI now, I would reiterate the wording of Charles Lamanna, GM of Business Applications Platform -

  • Work from anywhere: users expect to be able to work from anywhere, on any device. Unified Interface is a metadata-driven experience with controls built on an extensible framework that provides a uniform experience across mobile, embedded, and web clients. The app display reflows to the screen size in use.
  • Focused roles creation: coupled with the Unified Interface, focused role creation helps simplify the end-user experience by including only the tasks and information for a given role in your organization. This reduces user confusion and lowers training costs.
  • Improved navigation: end-users can quickly move between apps and easily navigate with recent and pinned favorites. Together with focused role experiences, users only see what they need.
  • Improved performance: users see great overall performance improvements over the legacy web client. Examples include retrieval of application metadata, improving the rendering of forms, reducing the load times of both forms and grids, and improved performance of customized form ribbons.
  • Overall productivity enhancements: reduced clicks for common tasks through the Timeline wall and Business process flows improve the efficiency for users.
  • Accessibility: the Unified Interface was developed with accessibility standards in mind, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). We regularly publish Accessibility Conformance Reports that detail how our products and services conform with these accessibility standards.

New to Unified Interface? I would urge to start with Microsoft documentation on Unified Interface. Feel free to message me if you have any query or doubt about migration from Classic web interface to Unified Interface. Happy Learning !!
