Differentiators in learning
Does only mode of learning or training delivery suffice to be a value add for a modern-day learner? This is a question that I have been asked for some time now. Most training startups/ initiatives have always centered around this. Nothing much has changed recently either, with advent of technology. The change has been more facial like the use of blogs, micro learning, mobile based learning, simulations etc.
There has never been a better time for change in approach then now. With Gen Y moving to be managers and 'Z' posing challenges like diminishing attention span, diverse opinions and domain specialization to name a few, the industry is in for some exciting times. Now seems the right time for training teams and learning organizations to venture into areas that have been grossly under served.
It is time that "Follow the Learner" becomes a practice right from the word go be it whilst identifying training needs or designing content or mode of delivery. Most importantly when do you impart learning? is it when the business is ready? or when the learner is ready? Technology (like AI) and use of Analytics in understanding these will help in truly making training effective.
At WinVerve we intend to answer these questions in the near future. Exciting time to be part of the learning industry. Look out for some more questions and few answers too :)
