Decision '19

Decision '19

This week I have made some decisions.

  1. I am going to start a podcast. The one I’ve been telling myself I would do for 3 years. I am going to do podcasts by myself and I am going to invite guests to be on my podcast who are leaders in their industry, in and out of the restaurant space as needed. Because I am all about creating culture and sharing the best ideas.
  2. I have 38 people who have subscribed to my newsletter. I reached out to those 38 people today to get their input on what they would like to see in terms of products and services to help build a strong culture and to ask how I could better serve them.
  3. I am going to remember that number, 38. Someday it will be bigger, not because it needs to be bigger, but because it has to grow bigger to expand with the value I am going to provide. I am going to serve people better. I am going to love people more. I am going to add value wherever I can.
  4. I am going to work on branding what I do. Beyond the website. Beyond the newsletter. I am going to BE THE BRAND. Because I am my brand. I am going to grow that list of 38 newsletter subscribers by creating content so compelling they tell their friends. And their friends tell their friends. I am going to challenge my inner William Espey. Branding is everything and everything is branding.
  5. I have decided to be the entrepreneur I’ve been afraid to be. I haven’t wasted time but I haven’t OWNED the time, either. From this point on, I am going to OWN the time. I am going to feel it in my chest with every heartbeat.
  6. I am going to embrace the unknown. I am going to speak wherever I can, whenever I can, to whatever groups need me. I am going to give books away, I am going to sell books, I am going to create products and services beyond my book, and I am going to coach and consult my butt off.
  7. I am going to surprise and delight my long-term consulting client in Kansas City by adding more value than he expects, for nothing more than knowing I have served him and his team well.
  8. I am leaving past failures in the past, where they belong while bringing the lessons I have learned with me.
  9. I am not going to let anything or anyone get in the way of my first priority, which is loving and taking care of my family. They are my champions and I am theirs.

Consider this my mid-year reboot. An entrepreneurial reset. I'm ready. Let's do this.

Excited for you, man! You’ve got to explain the logo; I know there is a story about it!

Excited for what you’ll bring to others!

DO IT BOBBY!!! DRIVE IT HARD!!! #youvegotthis
