Datasphere/DWC (Data warehouse for Cloud) questionnaires for new project requirements

Predefined questionnaires are valuable tools for collecting new requirements for several reasons. I have listed down some of the reason here. I also sharing a set of questionnaires here.

Please be aware that this document is continually evolving and is updated on a weekly basis. For the most recent version, please reach out to me.

Why you need standard questionnaires?

1.      Structured Approach: Questionnaires provide a structured and organized way to gather information. They ensure that all relevant areas are covered, reducing the chances of missing critical requirements.

2.      Consistency: Predefined questionnaires ensure that the same set of questions is asked to all stakeholders or users, maintaining consistency in the data collection process.

3.      Efficiency: They are time-efficient as they allow you to collect data from multiple sources simultaneously, reducing the need for extensive one-on-one interviews or discussions.

4.      Clarity: Well-crafted questions in a questionnaire can help clarify requirements and expectations, making it easier for stakeholders to provide accurate and detailed information.

5.      Documentation: Questionnaires generate written records of the collected requirements, which can be referenced, analyzed, and shared with relevant parties throughout the project.

6.      Analysis: Data collected through questionnaires can be analyzed systematically, helping to identify patterns, trends, and common themes among responses.

7.      Objective Data: Questionnaires can provide more objective data compared to open-ended discussions, as they limit bias and subjectivity in responses.

8.      Scale: Questionnaires can be easily scaled to accommodate a large number of respondents, making them suitable for projects involving numerous stakeholders or users.

9.      Feedback Loop: They can serve as a basis for further discussions and clarifications, allowing for a feedback loop to ensure that requirements are well-understood and accurately captured.

10.   Resource Availability: Questionnaires can be distributed and completed at the convenience of stakeholders, making it easier to gather input from individuals with busy schedules.

While predefined questionnaires are advantageous, they should be used in conjunction with other requirement gathering techniques such as interviews, workshops, and direct discussions to ensure a comprehensive understanding of requirements and stakeholder needs.
