Hello Connections!

I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to participate in the 3 day training program on “Data Science with Python” organized by E-Cell IIT Kharagpur and MakeIntern . We are honored to have Mr. Kushal Sharma , Director and MD of Prushal Technology Pvt. Ltd. and Founder of Indeed Inspiring Infotech .

This 3 day program packs a lot of knowledge to gain about data science, and we have a true visionary in Mr. Kushal Sharma sir in guiding us through this endeavor. Today’s session was all about the basics of Data Science. Data is a collection of raw facts and figures, and processed data is called information. The process of working on this data or information using various scientific approaches, algorithms and extracting knowledge from them is called Data Science. It combines our programming skills and knowledge of mathematical concepts such as statistics to work and extract knowledge from the data. We also gained insights on how big of a deal data science has become in the world of computer science and what role it plays now and in the near future.

Sir was keen on illuminating us with everything we needed to know about data science and how we can harness it using python. We learnt about key terms such as big data, the 6 V’s of big data, data mining and many more.

We also illuminated ourselves with the concept of artificial intelligence, the true meaning behind it, and we also learnt about machine learning, and how artificial intelligence can be implemented on making a machine learn to act and think like a human. There are many ways of making a machine learn, like Supervised, Unsupervised, Reinforcement learning. Using these ways, we can a pave a way for a machine to learn and adapt to new data, and also go towards to eventual goal of it being able to think and act logically, like a human being. This is the concept of artificial intelligence, where we make a machine with limited intelligence evolve into a next generation agent.

Mr. Kushal Sharma sir is an extraordinary person to have as a guide for us in this journey of learning data science. I hope his insights and his knowledge will help us master the concept of data science, and make us ready for the future. I am looking forward to learn a lot more from Sir about data science and how it can be employed in the future, in the upcoming days of the program.
