Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Data Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data warehousing, data mart development, and expertise in modern data platforms including Snowflake, MongoDB, and Databricks. The Data Architect will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our data architecture to ensure it supports our business goals and analytics needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Architecture Design:

Design and develop scalable, robust, and high-performance data architectures.

Define standards and best practices for data modelling, integration, and warehousing.

Data Warehousing and Data Marts:

Lead the design, development, and maintenance of data warehouses and data marts.

Ensure data warehousing solutions align with business requirements and performance standards.

Database Management:

Oversee the implementation and management of Snowflake, MongoDB, and Databricks environments.

Optimize database performance, including indexing, partitioning, and query tuning.

Data Integration:

Design and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate data from diverse sources.

Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the data lifecycle.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into technical requirements.

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior data engineers and developers.

Security and Compliance:

Implement and maintain data security and privacy policies.

Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.

Innovation and Improvement:

Stay up-to-date with emerging data technologies and trends.

Propose and implement improvements to existing data architecture and processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Data Architect, with a strong portfolio of successful data projects.
• Extensive experience with data warehousing and data mart development.
• Proficiency in Snowflake, MongoDB, and Databricks.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with ETL tools and data integration technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.

Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with machine learning and big data technologies.

Certification in Snowflake, MongoDB, or Databricks.
