Data Analytics, a fresh start
A little throwback to a couple of weeks ago!
2020, you have been a hell of a year. We all had to relearn how to live and what the word "pandemic" lost somewhere in the dictionary exactly means. We adjusted priorities at so many levels. We have had some lockdown time to rethink our life choices, find new passions, dig deeper into hidden talents, gaze at a New World shaped by a pandemic, miss some of our love ones, change a career path, and restyle ourselves in many other ways.
Personally, it has been a year with drastic changes, and perhaps a few daring life decisions. Careerwise, it started with quitting a job that was not fulfilling my personal growth and aspiration anymore. Then, get hands-on new fulfilling projects with the most inspiring human creatures. And, ultimately, to come back to a so-called real-life in Berlin, and aim for a new chapter, to add a different career path into my life. And that is indeed what I want to celebrate now, my final data analytics project: Predicting and Understanding Illegal Fishing! Perhaps a peculiar choice, but not brought up as randomly as it might sound. Inspired by Sir David Attenborough marine conservation awareness, and UN Sustainable Goals, the topic came to the table - it should not come as a surprise that there is a little environmentalist in me.
Throughout nearly two weeks of project cooking, I had the chance to apply Python skills acquired throughout Ironhack Data Analytics Bootcamp, putting Pandas and Matplotlib in use for data wrangling and visualisation, create dashboards in Tableau, apply Linear Regression knowledge, and learn more about Machine Learning, exploring the algorithm world of Nearest Neighbour and Random Forest. It has been quite a journey, and now I can boldly say I am open to new opportunities in the Data sphere, and to continue this new coding ride that complements a better-known Mathematics and Statistics knowledge.

2020, you have been a ***, but somehow I love you in so many ways. Bring on the next chapter! #dataanalytics
