The creativity within yourself

According to dictionary definition, being creative is using your imagination to bring new ideas or things to the world. This means offering alternatives that are different to the ones we already know or we can most commonly find. But, what does the process of creativity involve?

We often relate the word creativity to art, as a way to express, show and define oneself. Perhaps, it can also be associated with childhood, when our sense of imagination is socially valid and, therefore, it is not only allowed but it is also promoted. However, the process of creativity goes even further.

We can be creative in any areas of our lives, no matter what our background is. When we are creative, we are digging deep inside our thoughts and knowledge to find alternatives, solutions and new ideas that will help things get transformed into something better and they will definitely transform ourselves back. This process commonly starts in the presence of difficulties, evolves when we get our knowledge, experience and capacity to obtain new resources to emerge into something else and finalises with implementation. Whether it is by painting, writing, building a nice environment at home or finding ways to make a company more profitable, we can apply our most creative self to any areas of our lives. Creativity is bred during adversity and it is born with action. It follows your everywhere, it is your true essence and it does not expire with age.

As Deepak Choppra, M.D., brilliantly defined in a recent article: “In every moment you are co-creating your reality through your thoughts, your intentions, your words and your actions. We all have unlimited creative potential because our essential nature is pure consciousness.”

Creativity is a skill. Therefore, as any other skill, we can train it by daily connecting with those things that stimulate our creative potential and help ourselves search within our deepest consciousness. Being creative also means being brave enough to show your true self and share your imagination. After all, as the famous painter Henry Matisse stated, creativity takes courage.

I personally find a big creative side within myself when I help people overcome their language barriers. I believe we live our most creative essence in that place where our mind, body and soul get together, when we are totally aligned and in balance and where everything makes sense; that is the place where we create the most wonderful things.

Couldn't agree more with this phrase: "I personally find a big creative side within myself when I help people overcome their language barriers." I feel the same... Congrats, Yes!
