Context is king
TLDR AIs are very good at making sense of unstructured data and you can feed them tidbits, half thoughts, screenshots and bullet points.
My new favourite AI trick is the 'Context Package'.
On a recent pitch I was short on time to do a deep dive on the material available so I asked an LLM to create a ‘Context Package’ for me. I’d been inspired by the ‘Master Prompt Method’ of piling whatever information was around into one large document.
I swept up the digital workshop floor: wikipedia entries, the company website, a research summary, meeting transcripts, some dictated notes and threw it all into an LLM.
Combining this Context Package and a list of likely ways AI would impact the client, I tasked the LLM with sifting through the chaos to generate feature ideas based on our design principles.
We selected from the 40 ideas to get useful product requirement documents (PRDs), added in a high level steer for branding and, with a vibe coding tool, produced a working prototype that we could show the client.
AI isn't fussy. It thrives on a rich, diverse set of inputs. It was able to help contextualise all the disparate work, documents and conversations floating around the project into a single, clear prototype.
🙏 Shout out to Luke Wesley-Holley for putting me onto the Master Prompt Method.
