Communication Breakdown

How do you arm your people with real-time info as an emergency unfolds? Disseminating info in large organisations is difficult at the best of times. When confronted with extraordinary circumstances, such as a natural disaster or active security threat, it can prove even more arduous.

Your access control system might hold the key.

How does your team ensure the right people receive relevant information? Just as a security system knows who to allow where, it also knows where they have been. This data can be used to ensure people are quickly notified of events in their vicinity. Messages advising the best course of action can ensure their safety. Just as critically, it can ensure that people outside the area don't receive irrelevant advice, avoiding the spread of panic or confusion.

The right info at the right time, automatically.

If an emergency occurs, does the C-suite or senior management know instantly, or is this task left up to people to follow a process, in an often stressful scenario? Management needs fast info to make decisions around business continuity and responses to media. The wider team needs to know that 'this is not a drill' and how to act to ensure their safety.

We can help.

At Gallagher, all of our security systems enable the quick spread of information through our Broadcast Notifications feature. Messages can be sent dynamically; to only those recently present in particular building, for example. This can be fully automated or manually initiated, with as much or as little human interaction as the situation requires. Different messages can be sent to fire wardens, management, and staff. And all through a combination of different media - mobile notifications, SMS, and email.
