The grand technical fest TEXPERIA 2K26 was successfully organized by SNS College of Engineering, bringing together students from various departments to showcase their technical expertise, creativity, and innovative thinking. Among the various events conducted as part of this prestigious fest, the Code Debugging event stood out as an engaging and intellectually stimulating competition. The event was successfully organized and coordinated by me, and it witnessed enthusiastic participation and active involvement from students.
The Code Debugging event was conducted at venue IB026, which provided a well-equipped and comfortable environment for participants to focus on problem-solving. The primary objective of this event was to test the participants’ programming skills, logical thinking, and their ability to identify and fix errors in code within a limited time. It aimed to enhance students’ debugging capabilities, which is a crucial skill in real-world software development.
The event began with a brief introduction explaining the rules, structure, and evaluation criteria to the participants. Students from different departments registered in significant numbers, reflecting the popularity and importance of coding skills in today’s technological landscape. The participants were given a set of buggy programs that contained syntax errors, logical mistakes, and runtime issues. Their task was to carefully analyze the code, identify the errors, and correct them to produce the desired output.
The competition was conducted in multiple rounds to ensure fairness and to gradually increase the difficulty level. In the initial round, participants were given basic debugging problems to test their fundamental programming knowledge. As the event progressed, the complexity of the problems increased, challenging the participants to apply advanced concepts and critical thinking. The competitive spirit among the students created an energetic and motivating atmosphere throughout the event.
One of the key highlights of the Code Debugging event was the enthusiasm and determination displayed by the participants. Students actively engaged in problem-solving, demonstrating their coding proficiency and persistence. The event also encouraged peer learning, as participants observed different approaches and techniques used by others.
The evaluation process was carried out based on accuracy, time efficiency, and the ability to handle complex errors. The judging panel ensured a transparent and unbiased evaluation of all participants. At the end of the competition, the top performers were recognized and rewarded for their outstanding skills.
The winners of the Code Debugging event were awarded cash prizes as a token of appreciation and encouragement. The First Prize winner received a cash award of ₹5000, the Second Prize winner was awarded ₹2500, and the Third Prize winner received ₹1500. These prizes motivated the participants and added excitement to the competition.
The event concluded successfully with positive feedback from both participants and faculty members. It not only tested technical skills but also improved problem-solving abilities, time management, and confidence among students. Overall, the Code Debugging event under#DesignThinking
