Changing the perspective
You can see the same thing from many points of view.
When we change the perspective, or the angle, from where we see a specific thing, it will not remain the same.
Imagine you are inside a house. You will view the house as much bigger than you.
Now, I invite you to come out from your confinement and climb the hill outside. When you reach the top— see the house again.
It has become smaller because you have changed the perspective from where you see it.
In order to realize the capacity to solve your “problems”, you must first see their existence within your own psychological constitution, and that, nobody else except you, has the ability to change.
I once had a friend who lived in a neighborhood where he was not happy.
He attributed his unhappiness to his neighbor, blaming him for the cause of his discomfort. He used to complain about one thousand little things that came from his neighbor’s attitude.
Finally, one day, my friend came to tell me that he was going to find another place to live, in peace, free of his troublesome neighbor. I did not have much to say. He did as he said and left, renting a house in a totally different neighborhood.
After one month he rang me to say that he was having a similar problem with the new neighbor.
Later on I came to know that my friend changed home twice more before realizing that the problematic neighbor was his own mind…
Learn to see yourself deeper.
Until now we have been relating to life only through five senses in connection to a dramatic mind. It's time for us to start changing that same-old perspective of being the victim and blaming others for our shortcomings.
Mind your own mind!
- Apply a meditative awareness to everything you do.
- Watch your reactions.
- Go deep to discover the root of your discomfort.
- Act when necessary.
- Choose your inner state wisely.
… And you will see life from a whole new perspective!
