BMC #YouDay

I count myself very fortunate to lead a company that cares for people so deeply. The health and well-being of our employees is a huge focus for me – and treating people right is a key element of our values.

On Monday, July 6, 2020, BMCers around the world celebrated “You Day”. It was a day for all employees around the world to spend the day focused on themselves. By removing any stress of work that day with everyone away from their computers, I loved seeing how people spent their #YouDay for indulgence, reward, rest, activity, and with loved ones.

@Antonio Llorente Menendez spent the day outdoors on his bike, @Andrea Carlson took the day to plant a rose garden, and it looks like @Nicola Braddell took some time for one of my favorite past times – wine tasting.

As for me, needless to say, I was out in the country fly fishing. I caught this photo at Convict Lake and it really summed up my #YouDay: peaceful, serene, and surrounded by nature.

There is a saying, “when times get tough, the tough get going” and I’d say that the employees of @BMC Software are the toughest around – they have rallied to ensure that our customers can meet their business demands and adjust to a new way of working.

#YouDay was one way that our company could recognize and reward our employees for their dedication and hard work – more apparent in recent months than ever before.
