Big Data

Big data is more than a challenge; it is an opportunity to find insight in new and emerging types of data, to make your business more agile, and to answer questions that, in the past, were beyond reach. Until now, there was no practical way to harvest this opportunity. Today, IBM’s platform for big data opens the door to a world of possibilities, giving organizations a solution that is designed specifically with the needs of the enterprise in mind.

Big data analytics is successfully used to combat many fraud and security threats. It helps amplify security intelligence and empower security analytsts, and offer actionable recommendations. Take advantage of the learning activities here to better understand Security from the Big Data & Analytics perspective.

The challenge is how to get into mindset of attacker, every possible ways that attacker can penetrate the systems, learn information about me, fishing attack etc. Security is one of the hardest challenges, attackers are always looking at finding loopholes to penetrate and identify loopholes. Traditional methods like who logged into system, Events and alerts no longer suffice, Fishing Scams and sophisticated threats means we are all vulnerable.

So as a result, Big Data is a play in which all of us can participate. IBM brings our industry strategy and consulting expertise to form new business models that we can create value from Big Data. So as a result of that, we recently announced the creation of the Customer Experience Lab, the IBM Customer Experience Lab that we did with IBM Research to help business leaders transform customer’s experience, their products, their services, and their brands. Research scientists and business consultants co-create with our clients to deliver systems that learn and personalize the experience for each of their individual customers. We identify patterns and preferences and create a context all out of Big Data. And this allows our clients to create and get value from economies of scale. Team, this is a big differentiation for us.
