Agree that DMAIC is a basic tool. However, in my experience & inputs from Colleagues, the framework isn't of much use due to its rigidity in today's VUCA sourcing environment. Greater Statistical tools and Predictive modelling are the future. Moreover, it's important to create a synergy between Customer preferences, Market scenario, Production & Distribution using the latest available Tech & Tools to generate positive outcomes.
