USEFUL IDIOT: Noun Politics: derogatory. (Originally) A citizen of a non-communist country sympathetic to communism who is regarded (by communists) as naive and susceptible to manipulation for propaganda or 'other' purposes.

(Modern) Now often extended to those citizens or politicians promoting the superiority of Socialism, Progressivism, and Communism over Capitalism and Democracy.
