AWS Certified Solution Architect - Associate Level

AWS Certified Solution Architect – Associate Credentials Achieved!!

Today it gives me a great excitement and pleasure of success which I was able to feel through after successfully clearing AWS Certified Solution Architect – Associate. This is one of the credentials which was siting into my wait queue for quite some time now and today I was able to pass through the same.

Since I strongly believe in sharing Knowledge and experience, please find below structure which I strongly followed with positive believe in passing through the exam.

Preparation:

Initially I was studying and following Cloud Computing and its Design principals for quite some time (approx. 2years) , before I was confident enough that Yes it is definitely a time for me to gain the credentials in my career goal list.

1) I was studying Cloud Computing starting from basics like What is Cloud Computing, Why Cloud Computing, various deployment models like Hybrid (Most Important) , Design principals (Elasticity, Security, Cache) etc

2) Who all are major players in the Cloud Computing space and lot of research about who is a leader and why and from there I picked up AWS and mapped into my goal sheet

3) Did researched on online Cloud Computing courses and selected Cloud Guru for my learning path towards AWS

4) Ordered official copy of AWS Certified Solution Architect – First copy of AWS Certified Solutions Architect Official Study Guide: Associate Exam

a. This is great book to start and aim towards clearing your AWS Solution Architect Associate credentials as after every chapter there is a small set of practice questions which were really helpful

b. Total around about 14 chapters and in line with basic to core of AWS services.

5) On every step of my learning, be in through Cloud Guru videos’ or via an Official Study Guide I was building my self-notes using Microsoft One Note so that they become my reference point during revision time

6) Over google you would easily find lot of sample practice tests which will give you enough confident before you appear for an exam. I made a tracker of the same in excel sheet with Date, Source, My Score, My Weaknesses and My Strengths against each chapter and sample questions I ever attended. This gives me a confident when my score started approaching above 90% and often 100% in most areas.

Note: there are no real dumps for this exam and neither I recommend to go for any as you need to be strong enough and lead your knowledge, skills and building your own learning. Don’t cheat.

7) Go through Exam Blue-Print

8) Go through the AWS Certification Preparation site

9) Go through all Whitepapers which are recommended by Amazon under AWS Certification preparation site and what I followed in last 10days was going through comprehensively all whitepapers mentioned in the site

10) Go through all important FAQ’s as mentioned under AWS Certification Preparation site

11) Create your own free tier AWS account to practice around free services offered by AWS

Critical Areas to Focus:

1) AWS S3

2) EC2

3) AWS EBS

4) DataBase Services (RDS & No SQL)

5) IAM

6) Security

7) VPC

Why I choose AWS Certification Path?

Reason I choose AWS Certification credentials was that in today’s world with company’s focus is Time to Market and hold great towering expectations from Service Implementation Partners and their End to End Solution Architects to design best of breed with Business Objectives such as Time to Market, Lower Cost, Security, Best underlying infrastructure, Capex Go Away, Digitalization etc. With great expectations, E2E Solution Architect is responsible to have complete end to end knowledge and skill set including infrastructure and specially around Hybrid Deployment Model. With AWS Solution Architect- Associate level I am confident enough that I can demonstrate effective design and manage end to end application infrastructure with AWS. AWS allows me to add value towards building effective designs around Micro Services, aligning with business goals towards Digitalization called as Digital Transformation.

Power is gained by Sharing Knowledge, not Hoarding it!
