ActiveMQ Artemis is not just a Messaging broker. With its paging structure it can scale to infinite queues (up of course to how much storage you have ;) )...

It's quite fast. It's a hybrid architecture between a fast broker delivering messages fast, or delivering message through paging through its partitioned files.

I'm not a great presenter style I recognize... but if you discount my accent here I have gone through a lot of internals on this presentation at apacheCon about ActiveMQ Artemis.
