Announcing Bunches

Bunches is officially on the iOS App Store!

Remember the great times that were AOL chat rooms? Sure, it was a bit sketchy (A/S/L?), but great times were had too. Remember the pure JOY of discovering really cool communities in the wildest corners of the internet? The utter happiness of finding that weird Geocities site in Silicon Valley or Hollywood Hills? The hours spent following up on your favorite musician, reading about paper airplane varieties, or diving deep into the evidence for Sasquatch?

We do. And we miss it.

Today's consumer internet is missing the true joy from the early days. Of connecting with real people. Of learning interesting stuff. Of social networks being just feeds filled with negativity and group-think.

In our opinion, the Creator Economy is a light at the end of the tunnel. People are doing some really cool things both on and off the internet...but they tend to be hard to find, and tools being built for many of these creators are great...but managing them is essentially a full-time job in and of itself!

Bunches is building the easiest way for creators to start free or paid group chats about anything. For creators, we make it simple. Start your Bunch with us (free coaching!), get discovered, build your fanbase. Curious? Check us out here. While we're just getting started at Bunches, we are already a great place to build and grow your community.

Bunches seeks to bring back the joy and wonder from the days of the early internet.

But there's a flip-side here too: the member experience. That "early-internet joy" piece. So we're building a platform where Discover is there from the start. Find cool new Bunches about a variety of topics, all in one place. From the cannabis industry to EDM tracks to financial insights, there's already a *ton* of great communities on Bunches.

Here are three more examples:

  • Ashton is currently running The Wine Aisle ($wine on Bunches). It's a great place to discover new bottles and make new friends.
  • Wanna chat about BTC's rise, NFTs, and where to stake your Ethereum? Nir Kabessa is running the Crypto Rabbithole ($crypto on Bunches).
  • Love talking all-things eCommerce? Jordan and the $ecom community have you covered.

Another thing regarding the member experience: we've also built Bunches with content in mind: everything on Bunches is shareable!

This not only enables people to build their brand, grow their audience, and share their insights, but it also acts as a form of content moderation! There are indeed private Bunches also running; don't worry, messages in private Bunches are private and do not get a share link. Private Bunches also aren't in Discover, for hopefully obvious reasons. Wanna join a private Bunch? You have to be in the know.

All of this and more available now. Plus, we're just getting started!

Here's a glimpse at what's on our roadmap for this coming quarter alone:

  • Web client (for desktop & mobile)
  • On-platform payments & tipping
  • In-Bunch Reactions
  • Creator analytics dashboard

If you made it this far....wow. Check out our thread on Twitter as well.

Thanks for reading. 😁 Love you Bunches. 🍇
