AMBERGRIS
AMBERGRIS is a waxy substance produced as a secretion in the bile duct of the sperm whale. It has also been called “grey amber” or “whale vomit” which sounds less appealing. It was used in the perfume industry as a fixative. Whales do not have to be harmed in the “harvesting” of AMBERGRIS. Whether passed through vomiting or defecation AMBERGIS is found floating in the ocean or on the coast.
AMBERGRIS is rare, produced by an estimated 1% of sperm whales and taking years to form. Due to its rarity it can be valued at thousands of dollars per ounce. For reference gold is currently valued at $1,221 per ounce.
AMBERGRIS reminds us high value can be found in unexpected results.
But if you ENGAGE with a ring a diamond is a better bet than AMBERGRIS.
I have tonnes and is looking for a market.
