adaptability..

If someone is equally able to live on an iceberg, in a desert, and on top of a mountain, you could say that he/she has a lot of adaptability. This means she is able to make changes in response to her environment.

Definition of adaptability:

The ability to change (or be changed) to fit changed circumstances

It is natural in the corporate world that management get changed many times during the year and reporting managers also get changed as per the life's unwritten rules.  But I found that the problems are lying with the employees that they are not changing themselves according to the changed environment.

People always think and expect the treatment which was given by the so called already gone Manager with the newly came Manager and ‘Oh Jesus…!’ they failed to cope up with the new one since the entire behavior of the New Manager may be different from the Old one. 

Same is applicable to a person who joins newly and jump from another company.   Here the person who ruled the roost in the previous company must understand his current situation and play his/her role accordingly. Learn to unlearn whatever habits he/She had in the previous company and slowly but steadily try acquire new habits.  Otherwise his/her life also will be miserable.

People who have the adaptability will survive at all times.

Many a time –both the people (i.e. people worked under one person who has left the company- and the person who jumped from previous company and joined new company)- always compare the past situations with the current situation.

Some people would be lucky that current situation could be better than the previous one.  Some people always lament for the previous situation which is already a past now.

Change is the only thing that never changes and people should change according the new unavoidable change.   If they won’t change and respond to the current environment, then entire life becomes despair not only to them but also to others who surrounding them.

Life is full of changes … right from our birth..

• School to College
• College to Company/ Govt
• Village to city
• City to city
• Country to country and so on….

Many situations nature itself made us to adjust to the new environment.  Hence wherever we are, let us ADABTABLE to the current,existing situation and make ourselves give right response to the new environment to make our journey smooth….

This small article written for my little ones to whom I left from all my previous companies....and still think of me....
