6 tips to help you kill the interview.
I've been interviewed multiple times in my life and I want to help you. following these 6 tips should increase your chances of being selected.
1- Make sure to dress for success
Don't know what to wear? try planning something that aligns with the company's culture. You want something that makes you look professional so business casual and above. Remember it is always better to overdress than underdress.
2. show up on time
Showing up on time might be enough to get you the job, but if you can try to be ready for the interview before the interviewers. Doing this shows initiative, which means you show up a little early and are fully dressed and prepared.
3. do your research
"What do you know about the company" is a very common question in an interview. This means you need to do your research on the company to make sure you have an answer to this question. Not knowing the history and backstory of a place you want to work is a huge turn-off for employers.
4. practice responding to common interview questions
write up a list of job interview questions and answers. practice responding to questions such as

you also need to be able to relate your previous job skills to the ones that are required. Be ready to explain anything relevant on your resume.
5. ask questions to the interviewer
Asking questions to get to know the interviewer might just work out in your favor and ease the tension. It even makes them like you more. I'm not saying to do this to avoid a question, but asking questions about what the role entails and what the interviewer's favorite part about working for the company can really answer if the job is the right fit for you.
6. make sure that your linked in profile and all social media is CLEAN
having an out of date LinkedIn account isn't the best look for you, make sure you have a career focus (a specific niche in an industry) and can demonstrate career confirmation (what you say you are is backed up with social proof).
social media can be checked by employers and most do screenings, so making sure you don't have embarrassing tweets will drastically help you move forward in your career.
